What is Utsunomiya Ventures?
(1) The Aim of the Foundation
To sustain the local economy through the collaboration of companies from every field of business, and to promote the establishment of new companies in our community or to help local companies go into new lines of business for that purpose, we will support entrepreneurs by providing appropriate infrastructure, funds and information. We intend to contribute to the creation of new industries, the revitalization of the local economy and all business activities and to the enhancement of the attractiveness of the city.
(2) The Purpose of the Organization
The organization will carry out effective activities so as to develop Utsunomiya City into a base for creating new industries, by establishing an incubation facility with original strategies, so that Utsunomiya City will be the center of attention, not only in Japan, but also in the world, considering the fact that intense global competition is anticipated between communities.
(3) Status of Utsunomiya Ventures
Utsunomiya Ventures is targeted on entrepreneurs who are willing to establish venture businesses in Utsunomiya City. Utsunomiya Ventures is an organization for the promotion, training and support of entrepreneurs. When we refer to Utsunomiya Ventures, it means the incubation institution that includes entrepreneurs, facilities and personnel for training and supporting.
Outline of the Incubation Facility

(Nickname: Utsunomiya Ventures)

- 10 minutes’ drive from Kanuma Interchange, Tohoku Highway
- 1 minute’s walk from the bus stop “Niregi-Kaido Iriguchi”, if you take a Kanto Bus that leaves JR Utsunomiya Station.
(3) Building Structure and Scale
Structure: Steel-reinforced concrete building
Scale: A 3-storied building with a basement
(4) Facility Data
a. Incubation Office
- Used mainly as an office
(Not permitted to use the office as a shop or a restaurant open to the general public)
b. Multi-Purpose Space
- Used for meeting, relaxation, etc.
c. Conference Room
- Used for conferences, meetings, presentations, lectures, etc.
d. Communication Space
-Used for trainings, seminars, exchange activities, etc.
e. Administration Room
-Supports the tenants by receiving delivered parcels, offering information to visitors

Outline of Incubation Offices
(1) Qualifications for Tenants
- Companies that have been registered for less than 5 years. Companies undergoing the procedure of registration are required to complete the registration before moving in.
- Companies that have never been admitted, in the past or at present, to other incubation facilities.
- Companies that can move in within 2 months after approval.
- Companies that can carry out their business in Utsunomiya City, by establishing the headquarters or an office in Utsunomiya City after leaving this incubation facility.
(2) Number of Rooms (size)
10 rooms (10.6 to 24.0m2)
(3) Term of Lease
3 years max. (Contract shall be renewed annually. Renewal can be approved within the limit of twice. A specified survey will be carried out before approval.)

(4) Equipment
- Electric system: Single-phase 100V, 3 circuits, 1 TV terminal
- Air Conditioning System: Heater/Cooler (Centralized air conditioning system)
- Telephone equipment: 3 lines max. (Installation work and contracts shall be carried out at the expense of the tenant)
- Network Environment: CATV internet, ADSL or Optical Fiber can be introduced.
Utsunomiya CATV Cable Internet (10Mbps) can be used for free (up to 3 years after the opening of the facility).
- Security System: Each of the offices is equipped with a Card Key Lock
(5) Monthly Charge
1,500yen/m2/month (15,900yen to 36,000yen/month for one room)
*The charge includes common service expenses (charges for electricity, water, sewage, gas, cleaning service and security service for common areas).
Features of Our Incubation Facility and Management
(1) Features of the Facility (Hardware)
- Located in the central area of Utsunomiya City, accessible from every district of Japan, and is within an easy reach to the city area.
- Open 24 hours/day, 365 days/year
- Tenants can select their favorite network system from Cable Internet, ADSL, Optical Fiber, etc. Cable Internet (10Mbps) can be used for free of charge by cooperation of Utsunomiya Cable TV Co. Ltd., which is a third sector company (up to 3 years from the opening of the facility).
* For ADSL, Optical Fiber, etc., installation work and contracts shall be carried out at the expense of the tenant.
- To enhance the security, each room is equipped with a Card Key Lock.
(2) Features of Our Management (Software)
a. Provide opportunities for business, academic and governmental circles to cooperate with each other
- Since the pilot laboratory of Utsunomiya University Data Processing Center is planned to be stationed here, joint researches by business, academic and governmental circles, utilizing ultra high-speed network technology and next-generation internet technology, will be possible as well as consultation on information-related technologies.
b. Full of support systems for tenants
- Practical advice and supports are provided by the supporting members of the entrepreneur support organization (Utsunomiya Ventures)
- General support is provided by Tochigi Venture Support Planet 21
- Information staff for supporting the tenants will be stationed (weekdays: 9:00 to 17:00)
